The 60th day of the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra commenced in the Dhule district of Maharashtra, India. The leader of the Nyay Yatra, Rahul Gandhi, kindled a ray of hope among the people by announcing Adivasi Nyay yesterday. This is why people of all ages – children, elderly, and youth – enthusiastically participated in this Yatra that kicked off from Dondaicha in Dhule. Following the tradition, Rahul Gandhi initiated the Yatra with a roadshow. Initially, he paid tribute to the brave martyrs at the Kranti Smarak in Dhule. Subsequently, near the Manohar Talkies Chowk, he addressed the people. In his typical composed demeanor, Rahul Gandhi engaged with the people, discussing the local issues and the prevalent Anyay in detail.
He stated that the country has three issues: inflation, unemployment, and participation. The government is neglecting Dalits, backward classes, the poor, and tribal people. Congress will rectify this, and to achieve that, we have announced specific initiatives in our manifesto. These include revolutionary steps such as caste census, precise evaluation of the control of the country’s wealth, and economic and financial surveys and caste census, which I will oversee.
In Dhule, the Congress party organized a conference for women, the Mahila Melawa Meeting. Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge addressed the women at the conference via video conferencing. Making a significant announcement regarding Naari Nyay, he remarked, ‘Women constitute half of our country’s population, yet regrettably, it must be acknowledged that they have gained nothing in the past decade. The Modi government has exacerbated their plight. Any progress made is merely for political gain and garnering votes from women. Whether it be the hollow promise of women’s reservation, escalating inflation, or record-breaking crimes, the repercussions of all these issues disproportionately affect women. The BJP government is faltering on all these fronts. Hence, today, the Congress party pledges the assurance of Naari Nyay. Under this commitment, the Congress party aims to establish a new agenda for women in the nation. Within the scope of Naari Nyay, the Congress party is unveiling five key announcements.’
The guarantees for Nari Nyay are as follows:
‘Before this, we pledged to deliver Nyay for the youth and Bhagidaari Nyay. Our commitments are not mere rhetoric; they are carved in stone. Since 1926, we have maintained this track record: from when our adversaries were just taking their first steps in the world, we’ve been crafting manifestos and diligently fulfilling them.’
Following the Congress President’s announcement, Rahul Gandhi stepped onto the stage to address the audience. He commenced by warmly welcoming the women present, remarking, ‘Today, sisters are prominently represented. It’s heartening to witness. Typically, you’re relegated to the back or corners, but today, men have taken a backseat.’
Rahul Gandhi emphasized, ‘In India, 22 individuals possess as much wealth as 70 crore people combined. 16 lakh crore rupees of debt belonging to billionaires are waived off. The annual expenditure to operate MNREGA stands at 65,000 crore rupees. Essentially, Modi Ji has forgiven the debts of 22-25 individuals, which means 24 years of MNREGA money. He hasn’t extended this debt waiver to farmers, college fees, women, or laborers. Instead, he’s pardoned the debts of the wealthiest individuals in the country. There can be no greater Anyay than this. I’m simply stating that if the debts of the affluent are being waived off, then the debts of women, youth, and the underprivileged should also be waived. This is Aarthik Anyay.’
Addressing social injustice, Rahul Gandhi asserted, ‘ There is approximately 50 percent of the marginalized population in India. Their exact numbers remain unknown. 15% constitute Dalits, another 15% minorities, 8% tribals, and 5% poor general caste. However, the participation of this 90 percent is scarcely visible in India. When the price of a cylinder stood at 400 rupees, Modi Ji deemed it expensive. Today, it stands at 1100 rupees, yet there’s a conspicuous silence in the media.’
Rahul Gandhi then apprised the women attending the Mahila Melawa Meeting about the Congress President’s announcement. Addressing the sizable gathering, he drew attention to several pressing issues.
He articulated, ‘Major media conglomerates, corporations, private healthcare facilities, private educational institutions, and even government departments witness minimal participation from the 90 percent of the general populace. However, your finances will invariably be directed there. When a hospital is erected, your land will be requisitioned. Yet, when it’s time for you to have a say, you’re relegated to the sidelines. Women bear the brunt of this disparity. They endure a double whammy: being marginalized or tribal and being women. When Narendra Modi Ji made grand gestures in the Lok Sabha, promising reservation, setting off fireworks, and dancing, it was then said that reservation would be granted after a survey. But when will this survey take place? A decade later. When the Congress party assumes power, we’ll immediately grant you reservation. No survey is required. This will be our first order of business. We advocate for women’s participation in every sphere. Women must be seen and heard.’

In his announcement of Naari Nyay, Rahul Gandhi concluded, ‘Women constitute 50% of the population. Mr. Kharge has made five landmark announcements today.’
‘We are committed to working for you. When I spoke about Bhaagidari, it’s essential to find a way for the marginalized, the backward, and the tribal communities. The solution lies in conducting a caste census, counting everyone, followed by an economic survey.’
After this speech, the Yatra proceeded towards Malegaon. Here, the Congress leader performed worship at the renowned Hanuman temple in Malegaon and then embarked on a roadshow. Even during the roadshow in Malegaon, a large number of people joined the yatra. The respect and affection the people of India are showing without any media coverage indicate that the struggle for nyay is reaching remote areas on its own. Rahul Gandhi addressed the public in Malegaon, launching a scathing attack on the central government. He assured people that they would stand together in the fight for nyay and address Arthik and Samajik Anyay.
Rahul Gandhi stated, ‘The country faces three main issues: inflation, unemployment, and partnership. Modi ji consistently diverts attention from these issues. Inflation and unemployment affect everyone daily. GST and demonetization have destroyed small businesses like the Powerloom textile of Malegaon. Narendra Modi ji has favored billionaires like Adani. Adani told Modi Ji that if he wanted to ensure his visibility on TV, then he should implement GST and demonetization to eliminate small businesses. Modi ji complied. Today, the country’s youth struggle to find employment. During the UPA’s time, if a cylinder cost Rs. 400, Modi ji called it expensive. Today, at Rs. 1100, the media remains silent about its rising cost.’
Rahul continued, ‘The Congress party guarantees Paanch Yuva Nyay in its manifesto for the youth. It is not the BJP’s empty promises but concrete assurances from Congress. An MP from the BJP mentioned ending the Constitution after the elections. I want to assert, leave Modi aside, no power in the world can abolish the Constitution. This is the foundation of our country; we won’t allow anyone to tamper with it.’
When somebody raised a question about EVMs, Rahul Gandhi said, ‘The entire nation is claiming there’s a flaw in the EVMs. Despite our efforts to approach the Election Commission, they seem unwilling to listen. An election commissioner resigned just days before the election raises concerns. There must be a reason.’
Addressing the women present, he said, ‘Today, we have announced Paanch Nyay for women. Every poor woman in India will receive one lakh rupees annually.’
After this address, the journey proceeded towards the night camp. Tonight’s camp was set up near Malegaon.
“Any individual in the country who feels subjected to injustice, experiencing any form of unfair treatment, holds the potential to transform into a Nyay Yoddha. If you harbour the aspiration to become a Nyay Yoddha, give a missed call at 9891802024.”
