Rahul Gandhi: Yuva Nyay – Bharti Bharosa, Pahli Naukari Pakki, Paper Leak Se Mukti, Social Security And Yuva Roshni

The 54th day of the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra unfolded as it commenced from Ratlam in Madhya Pradesh towards Banswara in Rajasthan. In Banswara, an anticipated event awaited the crowd: a public address by Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. Upon arrival, the Madhya Pradesh Congress President officially marked the entry into Rajasthan by handing over the national flag to the Rajasthan Congress President, followed by the formal announcement of the Yatra’s presence in the state. Prominent leaders from Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh Congress graced the stage.

Unexpectedly, before the Congress President’s discourse, the audience was kept in suspense about a significant election guarantee from the Congress Party. Despite media speculations, no one foresaw Rahul Gandhi’s announcement, which was specifically geared towards the youth.

The Congress President, in his address, shed light on the injustices suffered by Dalits, backward classes, and tribals during the BJP’s reign. He emphasized the continuity of Congress’s commitment to programs initiated in the country’s interest. Contrastingly, he criticized the BJP’s mindset, citing remarks by the Assam Chief Minister, who implied that serving specific castes was the duty of the Shudras. The Congress President urged introspection, questioning the BJP’s commitment to the nation’s welfare and warning that without unity, the country might regress into a state where tribals dwell in jungles, devoid of education and opportunities.

Addressing the absence of recognition for Adivasi leaders during the Ram temple’s inauguration, he questioned President Murmu’s exclusion from such a significant event. He criticized the BJP’s selective inclusivity and called for genuine unity, urging them to extend their outreach beyond political boundaries.

Shifting the focus to governance, the Congress President highlighted the party’s contributions to the country’s development and the BJP’s dismantling of these efforts. Alongside this, the Congress party introduced pivotal guarantees from its manifesto, primarily aimed at empowering the youth.

He said- ‘As soon as the Congress Govt is formed in 2024, a new ROZGAR REVOLUTION will begin by providing EMPLOYMENT GUARANTEE to the Youth of the country. Today, the Congress Party is making a big announcement for the crores of Youth of this country, which has 5 main points –

  1. BHARTI BHAROSA (भर्ती भरोसा)

We guarantee BHARTI BHAROSA to all the Youth of the country. All vacant posts of around 30 lakhs in the Union Government will be filled. A timeline will be decided from examination to recruitment.

  2. PEHLI NAUKRI PAKKI (पहली नौकरी पक्की)

Even after having a degree, every second youth is unemployed because they do not have proper apprenticeship training. Congress Party guarantees that by bringing a new RIGHT TO APPRENTICESHIP law, through which we will provide Apprenticeship Training to every Diploma or Degree holder below 25 years of age in government or private sector. All apprentices will be given assistance of Rs 1 lakh i.e. ₹ 8,500 per month in a year.

  3. PAPER LEAK SE MUKTI (पेपर लीक से मुक्ति)

Today, the situation in the country is such that recruitment process does not happen. Even if the recruitment process starts, there is no paper. If there is paper, then paper gets leaked. Just imagine, our youth from villages and small towns come to cities to study. Their parents spend their entire lifesavings to get them a government job. Therefore, Congress Party guarantees that we will put a full stop on Paper Leaks by bringing a new law. Will ensure that all examinations are conducted in a fair manner. The years of hard work of our Youth, should not go in vain.

  4. SOCIAL SECURITY FOR GIG ECONOMY (गिग इकॉनॉमी के लिए सामाजिक सुरक्षा)

Shri Rahul Gandhi met lakhs of people during Bharat Jodo Yatra and Bharat Jodo Nyaya Yatra. He met many people including Truck Drivers, Mechanics, Carpenters, Delivery people, Taxi Drivers etc, all part of the informal Gig Economy. Rahul ji shared their sorrows and pains, listened to their problems. What problems they face, how low their salaries are, he heard and understood all these things. We understand the difficult conditions in which they are working in cities miles away from their villages. After this, the then Congress Government of Rajasthan brought a social security law for the welfare of all these people. Congress Party guarantees that we will bring a new law for social security and working conditions in Gig Economy. Crores of such youth who are supporting themselves and their families by working informally in the Gig Economy shall be benefitted.

  5. YUVA ROSHINI (युवा रोशनी)

Under Yuva Roshini, a FUND will be created with an amount of ₹5,000 Cr which will be distributed in all the districts of the country. Congress Party guarantees that this FUND will be given to youth below 40 years of age to start their own business – A Startup. All these businesses will create lakhs of jobs for the Youth. The five guarantees for the youth included a commitment to eradicate unemployment, ensure job security through permanent positions, prevent paper leaks in recruitment exams, provide social security for gig economy workers, and initiate a fund of 5 thousand crores for youth empowerment.

In contrast to the Modi government’s unfulfilled promises, the Congress party assures the public of the solidity of its guarantees.

Following his speech, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi addressed the gathered audience. During the Bharat Jodo Yatra, while addressing the demands of farmers and discussing the legal guarantee of MSP for them, Rahul Gandhi said, ‘During the Bharat Jodo Yatra, I spoke to the most people in that year. We walked for 8 hours during the yatra, and people came, connected with us, and shared their problems. During that time, farmers expressed their concerns, and upon hearing them, we have undertaken a revolutionary task for them in our manifesto. The Congress Party has announced a legal guarantee for the MSP of farmers.’

Speaking about caste-based discrimination in the country, Rahul Gandhi said, ‘I have spoken extensively about the caste census. In the country, about 50% belong to the backward class, 8% are Adivasis, 15% are Dalits, and approximately 15% belong to minority communities. Together, they make up nearly 90% of India’s population. If we add 5% more for the poor in the general category, then almost the entire population of Hindustan falls into these categories. However, when we look at India’s budget, their representation is nowhere to be seen. Our President is an Adivasi, so she was not invited to the inauguration of the Ram temple. Humare desh mein do Hindustan bane huye hain.’

Discussing the Paanch Yuva Nyay, Rahul Gandhi said, ‘The biggest issue during the Bharat Jodo Yatra was unemployment and inflation. Youth would come, and I would ask them what they do. They would say, ‘Rahul ji, I have a B.Tech degree, studied medicine, but I have no job.’ A young man was working as a porter at Delhi Railway Station; he had studied civil engineering. But today, I want to tell you what the Congress Party is going to do for the youth of Adivasi, Dalit, backward class, and poor in the general category.’

Discussing the Pannch Yuva Nyay, Rahul Gandhi highlighted the pervasive issue of unemployment during the Bharat Jodo Yatra. He shared anecdotes of educated youth facing joblessness and outlined the Congress Party’s plans for Adivasi, Dalit, backward class, and economically disadvantaged youth.
