Rahul Gandhi: Caste Census Is The Weapon For Students

The Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra entered its 36th day today. Due to a sudden visit to Wayanad yesterday, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi joined today’s yatra from Prayagraj. Here, he started his roadshow from Anand Bhavan, which proceeded from Manmohan Park, passing through Nataram Chauraha and reaching Laxmi Chauraha. At Laxmi Chauraha, Shri Rahul Gandhi addressed thousands of supporters and students.

He said, ‘What is happening with you, the leaking of exam papers, is Anyay. And this injustice is being done by your Prime Minister. Atrocities are being committed against the youth in the sacred land of Sangam. The youth of Uttar Pradesh are being incited. Not a single OBC or Adivasi owner is there among the owners of private colleges and universities. You are being made fools. Wake up, stand up. Student union elections were held, but have been stopped so that your power is taken away. This Nyay Yatra of ours is for this reason – to stand with you. But demand your rights. There is nothing to fear. This country is yours. You have a weapon – the weapon of caste census. First, find out how many people are in your population, and then find out your share in the wealth of this country.’

In Rahul Gandhi’s words, there was anger in his tone, seeing the suffering of thousands of unemployed students and the injustice they face. He called on the youth to be vigilant about their rights.

Before this, the convoy of the Nyay Yatra departed from Varanasi towards Allahabad. Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh sarcastically commented on Prime Minister Modi’s selfie point at Sarnath, posting a photo on his X (Formerly Twitter) account. He wrote, ‘The Pradhan Mantri Selfie Prachar Yojana (PM-SPY) being implemented even at the sacred Sarnath park. There are simply no limits to Ahankaaracharya’s antics.’

The Nyay Yatra will stay in Prayagraj tonight and will resume its journey according to its schedule from tomorrow.

“Any individual in the country who feels subjected to injustice, experiencing any form of unfair treatment, holds the potential to transform into a Nyay Yoddha. If you harbour the aspiration to become a Nyay Yoddha, give a missed call at 9891802024.”
