Rahul Gandhi And Nyay Yatra Are Giving Sleepless Nights To UP Government

The 37th day of the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra commenced from Pratapgarh, Uttar Pradesh. Starting from Bhagwan Chungi Chauraha, the yatra went to Lalgunj Chowk. The enthusiasm among the youth of Uttar Pradesh for Congress’s Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra was remarkable. Thousands of youths actively participated, expressing their views and marching alongside the Nyay Yatra to meet Congress leaders. In Lalgunj, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi addressed a public gathering. In his speech addressing the youth, Rahul Gandhi vehemently criticised the central government again. His speeches increasingly reflect the anger against the injustice towards the youth. The agony of the country’s youth is visible in his body language.

In addressing the youth today, Rahul Gandhi adopted a new style and energy. Speaking directly to the youth, he said, ‘When I meet you, you tell me that we are Dalits, we are Adivasis, we are backward. You dream for us; you want us to go to corporate India, but we can’t dream. You can say that I have accepted defeat. Rahul Gandhi is dreaming, but we don’t have the capacity. We don’t have the confidence to become owners of India’s biggest companies. I may disagree, but you can say it.’

Not only that, he boosted the morale of the youth by saying, ‘You guys speak, say as much as you want, it doesn’t matter. Speak as much as you want. Nothing will happen. Shout as much as you want. It won’t make a difference. You don’t have the capability. You don’t have the strength. It won’t happen. Agniveer will happen. Why? Because Adani wants it, so Agniveer will happen. Modi wants it, so Agniveer will happen. How? Because you don’t have the strength. It won’t happen. You shout, and you do nothing. You don’t have the strength. There is no strength in 73%.’

Rahul Gandhi’s enthusiastic speech injected new energy into the youth. The Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra and Rahul Gandhi’s interactions with the youth, women, and the public have given the central government and PM Narendra Modi sleepless nights. This is why, since the beginning of Rahul Gandhi’s Nyay Yatra, BJP governments in states are leaving no stone unturned to create obstacles.

In Assam, the state government blocked roads associated with the Nyay Yatra. They attempted to prevent students and the public from meeting Rahul Gandhi. Before reaching Bihar, the Congress-supported government fell. In Jharkhand, the then Chief Minister Hemant Soren was arrested under a conspiracy just before Rahul Gandhi’s arrival. Now, in Uttar Pradesh, after the arrival of the Nyay Yatra, one after another, actions are being taken against it. First, a cameraperson associated with the Nyay Yatra was suddenly denied entry into the Kashi Vishwanath Temple. Then, not a single photo of Rahul Gandhi’s visit to the Temple was released. Today, overwhelmed by the crowd in Pratapgarh, Rahul Gandhi has been summoned in an old case. Due to this, Rahul Gandhi will continue the Yatra from Fursatganj, Amethi, at 2 PM. Congress general secretary Shri Jairam Ramesh wrote about this on his X (Formerly Twitter ‎ .

The yatra came to a routine halt at Gandhi Inter College Sangipur in Pratapgarh for the midday break. During this time, Congress General Secretary Shri Jairam Ramesh addressed the journalists. Responding to a question about the census, Ramesh said, ‘Every ten years, a census has been conducted in our country since 1871. This census estimates the population of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and minorities, not OBCs. The first census in independent India was conducted in 1951 based on this criterion. It was supposed to happen in 2021, but it has not taken place yet; 2024 has arrived. There is no indication in the budget that a census will be conducted next year because it requires budgetary provision.’

After the midday break, the Nyay Yatra from Pratapgarh headed towards Amethi from the police line. En route, as the Nyay Yatra and Rahul Gandhi approached, the crowd swelled, making it seem as if the entire Amethi had descended onto the road. Amidst the excitement, the red open jeep, the recognized symbol of the Nyay Yatra, carrying Rahul Gandhi, triggered a wave of cheers from the local people. In the evening, at Babuganj, Amethi, Rahul Gandhi, and Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge addressed a massive public meeting.

Speaking alongside Mallikarjun Kharge, Rahul Gandhi connected with the youth of Uttar Pradesh, expressing concern about their plight. He said, ‘Yesterday, I saw the true condition of Uttar Pradesh in Varanasi. At night, thousands of youths were lying on the roads after drinking alcohol. The music was playing, and the youth were dancing after consuming alcohol. And in the morning, some other youth come to me, show papers, and say, ‘Our lives are ruined, the paper leaked.’ Not just one paper, one after another, every paper that comes here gets leaked. A youth comes to me, crying, saying – Rahul ji, I gave 5 lakh rupees to a coaching centre.’

Rahul Gandhi did not stop there. Urging the youth of Amethi to question the government, he said, ‘We have mentioned in our manifesto that the Congress Party will guarantee MSP to farmers and conduct an X-ray. There will be an X-ray, a caste census, and everyone will know how many backward, Dalits, Adivasis, and poor general category people are there. You have to ask a question every morning. This is a golden bird. How much money did Ambani get from it? How much money did Adani get today? You have to ask this question every morning. When 70% of the people start asking this question, they are taking money out of my pocket every day, I am paying GST, paying for petrol, I am paying taxes, as much as I am paying, Adani is paying the same, but he gets hundreds of thousands of crores, I don’t get a single rupee, why?’

After Rahul Gandhi, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge addressed the public. He said, ‘The whole world knows Amethi. Every citizen is proud of Amethi because it has a personal relation with former Prime Minister, late Rajiv Gandhi, former Congress President Sonia Gandhi, and Rahul Gandhi. Rahul Gandhi has a deep connection with Amethi; he is still with the people of Amethi and will always be with them.’

Kharge mentioned, ‘In the Congress government, thousands of crores were allocated for projects in Amethi, but as soon as the Modi government came, they imposed a halt on them. The Modi government is taking revenge from the people of Amethi and Rae Bareli. There was a mega food park project in Amethi, benefiting lakhs of farmers, but Prime Minister Modi shut it down.’

Mallikarjun Kharge also launched a scathing attack on the central government and challenged PM Modi in his familiar style. Kharge said, ‘Prime Minister Modi is talking about 400 seats, but he won’t even get 100 seats. The Modi government talks about employment, but today, there are two lakh vacant positions for Anganwadi and ASHA sisters in the country. There are 60 thousand vacant positions in Uttar Pradesh alone. But this double-engine government is not recruiting. There are 30 lakh vacant positions in the government departments of the country, but the Modi government is not hiring for these posts because it does not want to provide jobs to OBCs, SCs, and STs.’

After addressing the public, the Yatra continued towards Tendua, Amethi, for an overnight rest.

“Any individual in the country who feels subjected to injustice, experiencing any form of unfair treatment, holds the potential to transform into a Nyay Yoddha. If you harbour the aspiration to become a Nyay Yoddha, give a missed call at 9891802024.”
